Found a new (to me) PRIVATE shop

After some major headaches at two local dealerships regarding their service departments, I stumbled across a private shop and came home with smile. Aside from damage caused by the two dealerships, my biggest issue has been with the amount of time involved in getting repairs completed. Both shops have always wanted my bike for lengthy periods. They would not allow me to put my name on a waiting list to be called a day or so prior to my turn in line. They want the bike sitting there for up to two weeks and then I still had to deal with the "stealership" side of the charges. The sitting there for two weeks gettting moved back and forth around the shop seems to be when the damage usually occurs.

I just came home from an appointment at http://www.supertunemotorsports.com/ in Wheatridge, Colorado. They swapped out my leaky fork seals as well as flush/fill my clutch fluid WHILE I WAITED and didn't mugg me on my way out the door. I enjoyed an outstanding breakfast at an Italian restaurant across the street during the wait. The tech even verified which fork oil I preferred while I was eating. I have to say that "while you wait" has never been an option for any shop I've ever been to. My 12/13 hour days have prevented me from tinkering on my own lately so this is exactly what I needed.

Always good to hear about a biz thats accommodating to the customer,,,and good on you for letting others in the area know about them. That is the BEST advertising ever for them :fing02:

Great find, I'd love to see more of these local shops around and doing well

An idea, should we start a map of recommended bike shops, there may be some out there that others in the area don't know about

Thanks for the information. I have a 2000 that is aproaching 16,000 miles and is due for a major service with valve adjustment. Would you consider Supertune for this work or someone else in the Denver/Boulder area?

Jim, talk to Ace in the service department at Colorado Powersports in Boulder. He'll take good care of you.

Good to hear. Have you thought about letting them know about their great service via email or when you were there? They sure would appreciate, and they'll keep it up. Just an idea.

Yes, I told them when I left the shop on Friday that I would have it back in for all new fluids, a valve check, and a complete carb clean once the weather starts to turn colder.
