OK, it's going to get a nickname sooner or later. Get your ideas out so you can take credit later.

Nothing nasty, please. You might be insulting my next bike.

I second the motion.

Raising hand in approval.

Ummm .. how 'bout:

  • crosser
  • crossviffer
  • X-VF
  • VF-X
  • CrossV
  • CV

I think I like CV :idea3:
#6
Motion to adopt "VF-X" as official callsign for new V4?

I don't know people....Honda is overdue for some really goofy bike name. It will end up with something silly like Thunderbike, Mountaintrek, or Tarmacattack. :laughing6-hehe: You have to admit they are overdue to put a goofy out there.

Does it need a nickname?
Really?

It's a VTEC with new clothing... Crossdresser. :laughing6-hehe:
#10
VF-X sounds good enough though. :fing02:
#11
I like the VF-X but it is closer to a VFXR......but then again, do we really want folks to start calling it a Vixxer?

Well, it's probably going to get one. Why not be proactive?

I think SEB is spot on, Crossdresser  the more I look at it the more it seem a 6th gen whit new clothes.
thro I think a shorter name would be X-runner

I do have to say I think moast of us would also like that Honda would have put on a 6th gen a VFR1200/2011 CBR600F faring, a (adjutable) USD fork whit radial brakes, a nice tail and exhaust (like the X-runner!) and loosen a few kg, and many would have liked it.
#23
the 6.5 gen aka the cross dresser
#24
"Crossdresser" gets my vote. First thing I thought of, but Seb is quicker on the draw.

Perhaps "TransGen" would work.

I tried the name in a sentence and I do not think it works so well.

Someone: "Gerry, what are you doing this weekend ?"

Gerry:" going to throw my leg over the transgen and take it for a ride"

Someone:

 That was funny

While CrossDresser is the most fun to say, VF-X makes the most sense.
#31
Crossdresser works for me. VF-X sounds like an upgrade to VFR
#32
VF-X is not a nickname.

CrossDresser isn't a nickname either... It's a lifestyle Posted Image

I have been reading and watching videos on the Multistrada, KTM 990, Super Tenere, GS, etc. At first glance, seems like Honda wants to go after the Multistrada. Although I haven't been able to find any specs for the Cross Runner, I dont think they're quite there yet, just seems a bit heavy.

Im not going to suggest a nickname...
