VFR Wanted Poster

I recieved a stack of posters on my desk for some unknown reason and I shoved them asside as usual. Then I noticed a graceful shape in the corner of my eye. These posters are to educate the citizenry of DC what is allowed and not allowed to ride on the roads.

An example of what is OK to ride is a 5th generation VFR.

PS Yes, it is winter, and we can keep this thread going for a while I'm sure.

There is a guy somewhere here in town who has a snowmobile. I see him jetting around at about 80 mph the few times we get a couple inches of snow each winter before they get the roads plowed.

I always think to myself, "Yeah, lets see them try to catch him on that." But then I also think.... "It would be real easy to track right back to his garage."

WHAT? Dirtbikes aren`t allowed???

We have plenty of "street-legal" dirtbikes on the city streets here in Colorado during the riding months. Tires are supposed to be DOT but if you aren`t riding like a jerk, you won`t usually get bothered as long as you have a plate.

I also remember several winters growing up in North Dakota years ago when there were a couple snowmobiles on the city streets. Snow didn`t start to melt until april or so. January and February can get pretty cold and the streets were pretty much snowpacked throughout those months.

Oh, I just got back from doing about 50 miles on the `bird, 58* but tomorrow is supposed to be cold!

I logged on to the Team Oregon learn to ride site a few weeks back to get my friend involved, and I noticed they too had an amazing 5th gen to entice you in.

Also I am confused about poster.
I sometimes ride my CR500 and snowmobile on the streets...are these legal? I didn't see a pic of them so assume yes.
