Hey, what do you call those little nuts for the fairing bolts? I have a 98 that one of the little rubber coated nuts came out of its home in the fairing. A couple others may be missing. What do you call them? Where are they on the parts sites? I looked under "upper cowl"...
And, MOST IMPORTANTLY... how do you get them back in?

The nuts and rubber top hat are one. If they come apart they won't go back together.

They should just push back in. Sometimes it's easier if you push them in with the bolt screwed in ( but not so far that it starts to deform the rubber bit). They're actually designed so the external diameter is fractionally smaller than the hole; it's only when you tighten the bolt in the wellnut that it deforms and holds fast in the hole. Tip: once you've got the wellnut in place, lightly lube the screw with grease or silicon. You want the outside of the wellnut to have more friction than the inside.
