CBR600RR triple clamp offset?

Anyone know what the stock triple clamp offset and fork spacing is for the 05-06 CBR600RR? Thinking about using one of these front ends on my project, and have heard the offset is closer to the VFR offset.
#2
The fork offset of the CBR triples is 30mm. I hope this helps!

is that for the 05-06 Jamie? I know the 07 & up are 30, but I'd heard the 05-06 were different

I sold my 05 front end that I had on my F4i, but I can contact the guy that has it and ask him to measure it. Will let you know.
#5
That's I have in my notes. Pretty much everything that is "track ready" uses 30mm offset. All of the CBR's, GSXR's, etc have 30mm fork offset.

Just to note, the 05-06 600RR has an oddball fork size. Fine if you're transplanting the whole front end, but if you were thinking of mix & matching forks and triples it's a no-go. The 05/06 forks are 48mm up top.

The 07 & up forks are also 48mm up top. I know the fork spacing is pretty narrow compared to SP2/929/954, at least on the 07's. Makes sense that the offset is the same between all the 600RR's.

In my notes I have that the 600RR's are actually wider. I'll need to double check with a spare set of triple clamps but I believe that to be true, at least compared to the 929/954.

I have an 07 in the garage right now. I should be able to pull the top triple and measure it this weekend. That doesn't necessarily help you with the 05-06 though.
#10
I think the 08's I have here are about 204-205mm, I don't have a super accurrate way of measuring them. I just remember trying to line up my 600RR upper with my RC51 forks and SP1 lower and the upper was definitely narrower(obviously the top fork diameters were off too.)

I have a set of 08's in the garage. I can measure them if it will help anybody.

I just have a lower at home that I took some rough measurements from, I also have an 08 600RR, but its kind tough to measure them accurately on the bike.

I have an '06 and just went out to the garage with a tape measure. The distance between fork tubes, measured at the centers of the top rebound adjuster screws is 205mm. The distance from the line connecting the fork tube centers back to the center of the steering stem nut is 30mm. Hope that helps.

Edit: and the fork tube diameter at the top triple clamp measured as 48mm

Probably 204mm. (ALL of the dozen or so Honda triple clamps I've measured are either 192mm, 204mm or 214mm.) Tape measures have their limitations...

Ciao,

Checked again. You're right - looks like 204mm.

Thats what I'm getting over here too. So I assume SP1/929/954 triples are 214 John?

Yes, 214mm for 929/954/RC/1000RR

Offset on 1000 = 25mm.

Yes, 214mm for 929/954/RC/1000RR

Offset on 1000 = 25mm.

Which bike??

The fork offset on the 929/954/SP1 (and I think, '04-'07 CBR1000RR) triples is 30mm. Garden variety VFRs are around 40mm. (Except for the 1000RR, these are my own measurements, from triple clamps I've salvaged from eBay.) I've never seen anything with 25mm offset, but I haven't looked at this stuff seriously for a few years now...

Ciao,

I read an article about the 08 CBR1000RR where the said they increased the triple offset to 2.5mm to 27.5 from the previous version's 25mm. I'll see if I can dig up the link.

Which bike? The 1000RR.

You guys are right on with the numbers - 929/954/RCSP1&2/04-07 1000RR all have 214mm spacing. All but the 1000RR have 30mm offset, the 04-07 1000RR has 25mm offset, and the new ones have 27.5mm. Also, the 08+ 1000RR has the SP2 size steering bearings.

I think the same article said that the 08 + 1000RR had 204mm fork spacing as well.
