Hi all,
I am sorry to bring this subject up again,
I have a vfr750 fr 94'model from the uk which is a generation 4 bike.
i can see by this forum that the 8 spoke wheel from the 3rd generation will fit from
90 on-wards.
my bike is a 94, will it require any mods to fit, eg wheel spacer or is it a wheel off and wheel on.
I am sorry for dragging the subject again but i would just like to clarify it.

The only wheel that will not fit without some modification is the '98+ VFR800 wheel.
I didn't know that. Why not?
The bolts that hold the rear rotor on the pre-800 models sit proud of the hub face, whereas on the 800 they are recessed. The pre-800 rims are relieved in those four places. The 800 rims are just flat.
To solve this you can either cut the recesses into the 800 rim (there's plenty of metal) or fit replacement rotor bolts that are recessed.
