So I packed up the family and drove 600 miles to pick this one up, can't believe I have such an awesome wife and kids... Its in better shape than my first one was when I got it, but the carbs were gummed up big and it really needs cleaning. The Hole Shot 4-1 exhaust was why I bought it, and I am swapping my dual Super Trapps with this one and I HAVE to sell it once its ready :fing02:
I got the carbs cleaned up and started it - Holy Crap it was loud! some one gutted the muffler, and I thought the cops were coming for sure. Anyway - the plan is to swap some better body work that I have laying around, clean it well and look for a good caretaker.
I dunno, I like the dual exhaust better. You'll probably have more midrange with the dual exhaust. The top-end gains that the 4-1 will provide will likely be marginal, but the midrange is where it's at, for a street bike.
OK, a quick clean up and check out and she's ready for someone to take her to the next level. I cleaned the carbs but not well enough, it runs bit is still a little rough. I have some cleaner in the gas, ran it a mile or so and it started to clear up. Sounds good with the dual supertrapps -
