If you turn the throttle to accelerate and a huge grin ear to ear appears on your face without having to shift go for it. If you turn the throttle to accelerate and say wow that is cool but its missing a clutch lever then move on.
If your cool with it then great, get the DCT and enjoy.
I'd like to get a chance to demo ride one, but I think I'd feel like I'm giving up too much control to the computer.
I know in cars, I hate regular automatics, I'm not really okay with the automatics with a "manual" mode.
Dude, it's not an auto. I had the same preconceived notions until I rode one. Everthing thing I own is manual. My s2000, sv650n, and even my two classic vespas and lambretta have 4 speed manual transmission and clutch lever. I admit it, I too scoffed at all the other glowing DCT reviews, but I rescind my prejudice. There is no lag and the power feels like it comes on quicker than my old VFR1200F model. A super tight u-turn was super easy compared to the standard model. Not that I have any trouble make u-turns, but it felt so much easier without about feathering a clutch on a beast that heavy. Also, engine braking is just as strong and I swear it felt smoother when I was downshifting.

If it were me, I'd demo other makes of motorcycles and if in the end, this is the bike that still moved me, then I'd go for it :fing02:
I've demoed K1300S three time (twice before I bought my first VFR1200F and recently in the past week) and it still does nothing for me. I also demoed the Multistrada twice and I liked it, but can't get passed the beak. Demoed the Sprint ST twice and I find it too top heavy. I also demoed a RSV4 on one of the days that I demoed multstrad, bad ass but it's a bit impractical for street riding. I can't get a test ride on the Kawasaki Ninja 1000, but it felt nice to sit on one in the showroom floor.
