I am going to use the ZX14R controls so I am determined to re-wire them to plug into the Honda harness. I will need wiring diagrams for both bikes if anyone has them or knows where to find them I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction

Regarding the throttle cables, I need to find or fab some cables that have straight ends to conncect to the VFR throttle bodies as well as the throttle end connection that is captured Kawasaki style with just the clam shell type tube on the bar.

Anyone here have experience making throttle cables or working at a bike shop who might know of a Kawasaki model that has straight connectors for the throttle bodies?

Have any of you guys used this kit? http://motionpro.com...partno/01-0055/

TIA,

Keith

I'm not going to be a lot of help, but I do know that our local Honda shop/dealer can make cables for fit nearly all bikes, they have tons of different ends they can put on (guessing about 15). You might check with your local shops, I'm sure the bigger one are all capable. q

Keith, have you opened up the Kawi throttle yet? You might get lucky and find the ends are the same(in which case you just plug yours in without removing them from the throttle body).

Try googling the manual, most forums have at least one person that posts manuals for download.

I used to make my own cables when I was a old Triumph donkey. It is actually really simple.

You just cut the cable and sheath to size, add the gromet thingies and put the cable through the ball-end. then you suck some solder up the cable and into the ball-end.

Just out of curiosity, can I ask ... why?
