I Just Bought A 1984 VF700F Interceptor And Was Wanting To Know If Anybody Knows If A 1984 VF1000F Interceptor Front Lower Fork Tubes Will Intercange With My 1984 VF700F Interceptor. From Close Up Pictures They Look Very Close To Identical. But Are The Dimensions The Same?? Will They Swap Without A Lot Of machining Or Otherunforeseen Trouble? Thanx In Advance!!! Great Site By The Way, LOVE IT!!

Here's A Pic Of My1985 CMX250c Rebel I'm Almost Done With. Had It For 12 Years Now, Just A Cruise To The Parts Store Or Short rides. Did Some Chain And Sprocket Mods On This One. 27 Tooth Rear Sprocket And A 14 Tooth Front Sprocket. Had To Do Something To Drop The RPM s On The Hiway, And It Worked Pretty Well, Dropped About 1500 RPM s At 80 MPH. Before Top End Was 64 MPH Or Somewhere Close.

Hey Thor,

forks lowers from a VF1000F will not fit the VF700F. The VF1000's used 41mm stanchions, and the VF700F used the 37mm diameter. I have VF1000F front end on my bike (previous owner mods) and had some steering stops not matching. Forks were wider, as well, which I think would locate brake bosses in the wrong spot, etc.
