I have to say I think we pulled off what might just have been the BEST TexasMac every! :cheerleader:
Fantastic weather, roads, people and I think a very successful first time ever Dinner & Awards Banquet! :fing02:
I just rolled in after 1300 miles of some of the best twisties the South has to offer with the Biggest Grin on my face. Yes I was exhausted with the all the stress and planning needed to pull off a Tmac, but once Saturdays ride groups all showed up and including one beat up Canadian I could finally breath a sigh of relief and enjoy it all.
A BIG thanks to all the volunteers and other members help to make it all happen and of course all of the attendees that make this such a great event!
I actually didn't get to take many photos, but did get a few which I will post up later. Please Post up your Tmac photos, stories & thoughts here.
Thanks again everyone!
BR
PS I did hit 83,000 miles one the way home today and not a single hitch out of my bike all week! I love my VFR!
OK a few pics I did manage.
The ride over to the Tmac Leading HS, Dutchintaceptor, Lee2002 & Favadave, we stopped at a fav old factory for a foto opp.
Bob and the CEO(HS)
Nicole & who cares! :goofy: Just kiddin, Glenn!
On Fridays ride we stopped at the gas station near Suches @ 180 and saw this 86 VFR that was all original!
Last remaining Viffer! When I rolled out of the Franklin motel today my trusty 02 was the last bike in the lot.
Three of four FL guys are still at Franklin enjoying a final Sunday evening before heading back south. A GREAT time was had by all. Looking forward to next year. Rooms 107 and 108 already reserved. Especially looking forward to more BBQ...
Someone had a suggestion that we should all post a pic of us so that people can put screennames with people they met. Personally I thought it was a good idea as I know I have trouble with that myself. HS, BR, thoughts? Doesn't have to be in here, but maybe under another topic. I don't know how you'd do it though without having a bunch of posts to sift through in between pictures other than having a really busy moderator. Just a thought that came home with me from Franklin.

Probably not everyone does it but if you click on my profile there is a picture there loaded of me. I know some others have loaded one as well.
What a great group of people. If someone has a problem, 5 guys are on it before the rider can change clothes. I have been to a lot of rallies and rides, but the VFRD group is simply the best.
No you didn't! My Lawnmower still has a flat!! Lol
I have very few pics but will get them on here at some point. Left my mac-daddy camera at home this year but have cell pics and some from my small camera!

Sorry I missed Tmac this year guys... but I was just up the road looking down on you from up above :fing02:
kwr8728, teague, and I spend 3 days up there on the alternative two wheels this year! We were hoping to stop by and visit Saturday night but after riding for 8 hours we were toast. Next year though for sure! Glad everyone had a good time.
I had heard so much about these Margaritas, I could not wait to taste one. But when I saw the end result, I was a little scared :laughing6-hehe: [image: Posted Image]

Actually, I was and am here in Blue Ridge, Ga. with the family chilling out in a dry cabin and a half (read rented mansion on the lake). I don't mind hanging out with those damned crazy crotch rocket riders I know on VFRD, it's that nasty yellow tricycle that kept me away this year. Damn things are dangerous with dubious people that typically pedal them......
.....Get You a New Motorcycle, and I'll stay Home next year so You can attend and have some FUN..... :laughing6-hehe:
I'd have been there anyway if the schedule wasn't so conflicted. I guess I can put up with a trike if I just look at two of the wheels... :laughing6-hehe:
ok, picture dump time.. there's a few more in my gallery, but I'll try not to overload it here...

OMG....THAT IS SOME AWESOME VIDEO!! Dam, you sure know how to ride.
Any chance of uploading a version without the music? Would love to hear the bike working.
What speed & gears were you using?
That was nice to hear, not factual, but nice. The audio was kinda bad and annoying, so I masked it with timmy music. I have no idea what gear I was in and when you are trying like hell to watch Seb's constantly shrinking tail light, I never looked at the dash.
if I may......some "holy gasoline"
A BIG thank you to all the organizers, ride leaders and all members for making this a terrific, memorable event. This was my second TMAC. I had a wonderful time. I got to meet and talk with about 75% of people. Great group of people. Thanks again, I will definitely be back next year again. :fing02:
I've seen that done a lot on goldwings. One of my coworkers has a car tire on is 2004 wing. But we're in Nebraska. our roads don't curve much so you can get away with that. I'm sure the tread life it great.

There's my old bike! I bet it wasn't has happy at TMAC this year without me on it.
She's in great shape! MidLifeVFR did quite well, he was grinning ear to ear!
Hey Travis........the bike was content and I was happy........that works for me!
It had all of its fluids changed, a new air filter and a fresh inspection sticker
just a few days before TMac..........she's settled into NY very nicely. THANKS!!
Currently filling out PTO form for next year...
If I could just get to Franklin, everything would be OK....
Looks like a blast, especially compared to being at work 12 days straight.
Timmy - where did you get the Awry sticker made? Same as Seb's Nohlins?

Really sorry i missed it fellas, was bummed all weekend.. I was really looking forward to making it. Sadly, there was a last minute parts order that didn't roll in till this morning (Mon). After I got the brakes up and going I legalized her and took her out for a short shakedown run, that consisted of running out of gas and getting pulled over, had to break it in right! Only had to push about 100ft uphill... Its ok though, on the pullover I didn't get a ticket!
You have my word, though, I will make it next year, come hell or high water. And then my bike will actually be nice to look at instead of the pile of zip-ties, safety wire, tape and epoxy that it is now.
Hey, gang. Saw your crazy asses all over the area. Got to chat with a few of you at a smoke break at the end of Warwoman road on Thursday or Friday. (It's a blur) You guys were a force! Sounds like you had a great event. I even came back contemplating trading my Blackbird for a 5th gen. It's far from the best tool for the Smokies.

Charcoal isn't 01, bud. 2001 is the only year it comes exclusively in candy glory red or some shit like that.
Actually just about every VFR was the same color Red(R157) from at least 94 to 04 with the exception of the Pearl Yellow 00 and the Silver 03. The 05 was the first year of Whinning Red.
I have about 318 pictures of me with my knee down at the gap. I decided to purchase a few where it wasnt this year. I think these are really nice. My photos look exactly the same every year.
A couple of photos I purchased from thursday morning.
Great stuff guys! I'm glad everyone made it home same and without any hospital trips. It looks like everyone had a great time. there ought to be stories for a long time.
