I know a lot of guys have paid over 900 to 1000 bucks for a set of OEM hard bags for their bikes. I am not affiliated in any way with this website/dealer/distributor.

PowersportsPlus.com has the OEM bags (with mounting hardware) listed for $873.56 w/free shipping. Apply the promo code "meetsister" during the checkout process and get an additional 15% off, bringing the total to $742.53.

I just ordered a set for my 08 VFR P/N 08L52-MCW-1A0. I also called and confirmed that the price with the promo discount is correct as well.

I've seen used sets go for around 600-650. 742 for a brand new color matched set is a pretty good deal. Figured maybe someone else could use a good deal and outside of David Silver Spares (who I believe doesn't do 6th Gen parts anymore), this is as cheap as I've found them.

Man, that is awesome.  Thanks for sharing.   :fing02:

Thanks for the info.  I might be buying a 2007 VFR800 this week if dealer negotiations go well.

That $873.56 price includes two hard bags AND the mounting hardware?

I assumed the mounting hardware was separate but I cannot tell from the product description on that site.
#4
Good luck with your purchase of the 07........ U will love it.
The price is under $750 WITH hardware...
#5
I just looked up the site and it lists the hard saddle bags and the mounting hardware seperately.  The bags (it actually says "bag") are $873.56 and the mounts are $359.96.  Don't know what to make of that.
#6
Just got mine today and put them on. The 873.56 is both bags WITH mounting hardware included. I had the same question with what the site listed and called the place with the part number and made sure before I ordered.

Just to clarify and avoid any confusion, make sure you order the right part number to match your paint code/year. The part number I listed in my original post was for my 08 in Sword Silver.

Make sure and give the promo code "meetsister" a try at the checkout to get the 742 price.

I love 'em. They look awesome.
#7
That's good to know that all the hardware is included, blakjak.  Do yo have any idea how long that promo discount lasts?
#8
Ordered the blue ones Sunday night, hopefully I will get them by the end of the week. I will post my results here.

And the factory bags are amazing! They hold plenty, are absolutely watertight and fit the bike perfectly. Best addition possible for a 6th gen.

Found it online googling for discount codes for powersportsplus.com . Been good for a month or so, no idea when it expires. Burn it up while it's good!

I jumped on this deal Sunday evening and they have already delivered. Unfortunately I am in Vegas this week and I live in Dallas so I had them sent to work . My receiving guy said they are blue and there is two of them. Now I am actually excited about going to work on Monday to get a look at these for myself.

Hi,

I just phoned them, asked about  part number 08L52-MCW-170 (black for 2006 VFR800 ABS), and they could not confirm that everything I need is in there :(.  Has anyone else ordered that part number from them?

Thanks,

Walter

The 08L52-MCW part number is the whole kit. The last three digits (i.e. 170) designate color codes I believe. It will come with the brackets and hardware.
#14
So I am back at work and there is a huge box at my desk. The box could have been a little sturdier and was a little tattered from shipping. Inside the box was two blue saddlebags protected by bubble wrap and thin foam bags, they where un-blemished. There is also a smaller box containing 2x side brackets, 3x small brackets (used around rear fender), hardware and instructions. Plus about 5 keys and an extra tumbler.

All of this came by ordering qty.1 of 71-08L52-MCW-1E0 shipping included for a price of $742.53.

Thank you Blakjak for letting is know about this killer deal!

Word yo.

Anyone know where else you can get 2009 OEM panniers candy color for this price ? Contacted PowersportsPlus but they don't have this colour - Part number is 08L52-MCW-890...Honda olour code is RC101.  At $1800AUS I would really like to find a cheaper source than here.

Do not buy from Mason city honda.  This is the way I was treated by Keith Start reading from the bottom

Thanks for your considerate answer.  I used the meetsister coupon code to get the 15% discount off of that price.  I will post our conversation on the forum so as to show the members who they are really dealing with.  I don’t want you wasting your time and wasting any of the forum members time.  I guess you just forgot how to be polite to people.  Well so have I.  I will be recommending Powersportsplus.com far before you.

I just looked those saddlebags up on that powersportsplus.com and they had the same price that I quoted you. $725 is way under my cost on those bags. So there is no way I can do that price.  I mean I already quoted you a great deal! So just order them from powersportsplus.com, I don't have time to be messing around.

I was given a quote of $725 from Powersportsplus.com and I would prefer shipping through USPS only.  The quote they gave me did not include shipping.  They have yet to quote shipping.  My question is would you match their price of $725 plus shipping with USPS?

Joe

The saddlebags would cost $873.59, and I just looked up on how much shipping would cost from ups, Its really expensive, ups told me it would be $200.00 for shipping, so your total would be $1073.59. If you had a usa address shipping would be only about $20.00. So let me know what you want to do thanks

Hello I have been talking to some of the members of VFRD Discussions about the best place to get a set of OEM Saddlebags fpr my 07 VFR800, and I was told to contact Mason City Honda.  So here I am.  I require a qoute on a set of saddle bags for my 07 VFR800 in red. the part number is 08L52-MCW-1G0 .  I also need to know the shipping cost to Alberta, Canada. T8A-5P4.

Well, I received my box from Powersports Plus via the UPS store last Thursday, and everything was in the box as promised: 2 saddlebags, mounting hardware, and 2 keys.  Took me about 2.5 hours to install (well, really 2 hours to install the mounting rails, and then 30 minutes figuring out how to mount/unmount the saddle bags, unpack the Bestem liner bags I got for them, and generally just loving the fact that I got them for $742 shipped!!!).  The local Honda dealer wanted over $1100 (after he offered a 10% discount, which was a nice try but couldn't beat this deal).

Big ups to blakjak for posting this deal!

Guys,
I write to say all this is a great example of the benefit that VFRD is to all of us.  Eat your hearts out guys.  Last year I got a set of OEM bags for my Italian Red 05 VFR800. One of our members still had them on his shelf from a damage incident. He sold them to me for $300. Another of our members here in Georgia whom I met at bike night painted them for me quite professionally for $200. This is a very reasonable sum considering all it takes paint these things properly and true to model colors.   So, I got mine, luckily and happily, a year ago for $500.  Eat your hearts out. Props to VFRD and its members for hooking us all up.

Joe, sorry you couldn't get a better deal from Mason City, but no reason to trash them as they have made hundreds of members happy on other items and I'm sure they can't beat every price out there!  I don't think you were mistreated either, he basically just said he couldn't match or beat the deal and to buy from them.
No big deal and no mistreatment.

No joke.  I just ordered a new peg spring from Mason City Honda 2 weeks ago and it cost me all of $3.42 including shipping.

Keith has always been straight forward and honest (as seen even in your e-mails).  If you feel bilked because he could not beet a competitor's price then perhaps you need to take a step back and realize one dealer is not always going to get the best deal on everything.  Having purchased from Mason City Honda several times I still stand behind them.

Feel free to burn your own bridges but don't do it on behalf of VFRD.  Thanks.
#23
Be glad you don't have the white 06'.  The bags don't exist anywhere for it.
#24
Get them in black and ride them like that (Storm Trooper!) or consider a local paint shop to match them up.  White on white though seems a little over kill but that's just my opinion.
#25
I just checked today and the code "meetsister" still works for a total of $775.39 delivered.
Good deal!

Does anybody have OEM panniers with laser pipes? This is to good to pass up.

I just ordered the trunk and hard bags for my 7th gen.  Code worked and cheapest place I've found!  Thanks for revising this thread!!
#29
That should read "reviving this thread", not "revising". Don't drink and post...
#30
I sold my vfr800 6th gen interceptor, but still have OEM hard saddlebags (red, with mount brackets) + OEM hard trunk (black with back sit pad and brackets).
one saddle bag has a surface scratch on the paint, nothing major - can be easy disguised with a touch up pen.

was planning to put it up on ebay, but if anyone is interested here - send me a message via forum. I'll sell the whole set for $1k.
#31
vlad,

How much do you want for the trunk and mounting bracket?
#32
Viffer Hardbags  from PowerSports.com   .
Just got off the phone with a sales rep at the Florida Vendors depot ... I found their listing for Hard Bags under OEM Honda parts. The PN they list is a bit different from the one listed by this thread starter. 08L52MCW 160   compared to 08LMCW 1A0 ... The rep could not confirm either one came with a L and R Silver Bag and Mounting hardware/brackets. So I'm waiting for the phone call to set me right. Either way, it appears that the discount code "meetsister" is still in effect and for the price of the kit ... free shipping.

BBBBBBrrriinnggggg on the bags!!

Okay, now someone just needs to find the luggage / or the best luggage to fit just right inside.  I'm using a couple of duffle bags that work pretty well, but always on the lookout for better.

Just placed my order.  The "meetsister" code worked when I put the goods into the cart, but didn't work upon checkout.  Not a bad deal, still, but $775 beats $816 over and over.

I checked my powersportsplus.com order status today and was a little bummed.  The report showed an expected ship date of 3/20... and no tracking number yet.  Phooey!

And when I got home this afternoon, there was a huge brown box on the porch!  My weekend project is here!!

In my search for wht. pearl bags for my 06 vfr (there are no wht. ones anywhere except honda for $1000.00) I came across this forum and I almost bought the bags for $788.00 delivered from powersports it is a Great deal cheapest in the U.S. But Gentlemen brand new oem bags for $575 delivered? Yup! After a lot searching I found the cheapest bags on the net @" david silvers spares" a shop in the uk that specializes in 02 and older VFRs but they have the 6th gen bags!! alas only in red and black. They just arrived today brand new in their honda box for $575 all the way from england!!
#38
Great find, unbe08!!

Thanks to Blakjak for the hot lead on Honda Hardbags from PowerSportsPlus. My Sword silver bags showed up today, a week and a bit earlier than expected (USPostalSvc and CanadaPost did sumtin right!!) Nice gear, all the brackets, and hardware to mount to the gen6 multiple spare keys for the bag locks, and a replacement (spare) key cylinder yust in case.

Is there a better reason for a road trip?

Maybe I am dyslexic  or maybe just THICK HEADED, but Speedball got his racks on in 2.5 hours and half hour to connect the bags. I took near 4 hours to bolt up the racks (2 secs. to connect the bags).

Some insight to the instructions provided by Mutha Honda..  when it says "save" as in save this or that piece as you remove them from the bike, it means save them for the day you decide to return to a unbagged and un racked bike. I figured they meant to have those pieces re-fitted DUH!!!and .... when they say , they mean it, it took me considerable time to rig up the right side, and next to nothing to hang the left side bracket.

Where the directions indicate "install the right side braket first" they mean it.

Somebody on this site provided pictures and a bit of write up on the install..... my laptop was absent for my procedure. so sad to bad
#41
If only I could fit the 6gen hardbags onto my 99.......GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I want them bad.
#42
I have the hard bags, and I really think Honda made them right.  Get them if you can.  I compared them to the Multistrada's bags (notoriously fiddlly) and they win hands down.

Anybody have a set of hard bags they want to sell me? I am about to order a Givi set in 5....4....3.....2.....

Check out David Silvers Spares from UK, $400 plus shipping from UK is a killer deal.  In '02 red.  My bags came from there ten years ago.
