Riding home from Catskills in lots of rain, a couple times I had the oil light and neutral lights very dimly lit at the same time. I'm using LED bulbs, so they will illuminate with very low power. This is the reason I had to not use one for the FI light. It would be always on at about half power.
Anyway, those two lights were on during heavier rain and slower speeds. I'm thinking that some water was getting behind the cowl and onto the board at the back of the instruments and lightly bridging some connections to light up those bulbs. Of course oil level was/is fine, and neutral light operates properly otherwise.
I think I need to strip the entire bike down and give it a good cleaning anyway, after the crazy Catskills ride through the wet and mud. I'll have to take a look at the circuit board to make sure I've not got any degradation happening as I've seen in others recently.
