I have 2 5th gen custom tail light housings for sale. I believe the 3rd housing is spoken for. More can be made upon request to those that are serious about buying one. You will have to create your own brackets when mounting it so some general fabrication skills may be required. The brackets I made for my old bike were very simple and were not complicated at all. Final finishing and painting will be up to the buyer. Price is $175 + shipping. Thanks for the interest.
Just to be clear, you are selling the housing only at that price? What lights complete the kit (availability and cost estimate for those would be helpful as well)? also, how does it wire in with those lights?
Not plug and play I am sure but it looks very clean and I like it.

great job completing this.
Yes, this is the price for the housing only. I had mine painted by Travis (aka Rivcyko) and the color was nearly dead on. You could only see the color difference in certain light. It was very good.
The original lights that I had installed were about $30 and were of some unknown brand. I can no longer find them. Ebay may have some similar. I had intended to sell these with LED clusters from Custom Dynamics. Their lights are about $50 for the one set I bought. But they have various types of clusters. I'll see if I can get the part number for the lights I have. They are a little pricier than some but they are BRIGHT and I believe are a good quality light. You could integrate the signals into these or maybe find some button blinkers or something similar to use as normal blinkers. I integrated mine. You'll just need to splice into the factory wiring. Very simple and straighforward for the most part. The opening for the lights is somewhere around 2" to 2 1/4" diameter I think so just about any light that size will work. Here's a mockup picture of that cluster I took a couple years ago.

where does the license plate go?
The license plate stays on your factory undertail. If you have un undertail exhaust, you'll need to mount the license plate under the exhaust or on the side of the bike. I mounted mine to the side of the swingarm.
I just wanted to add a picture of one of the brackets that I made for my old VFR to show how simple they were to make and to show that they are not complicated to fabricate. I literally took a flat sheet of aluminum and bent it in an "S" shape and used a bolt and lock nut, tightening the nut only as required until it took the pressure of the tail off the frankenbolts so I didn't crack the tail section. I can cut a strip from the sheet of aluminum I have and throw it in the shipping box at no cost. I used the factory nutplate and bolt at the bottom of the brackets as you can see in the picture. I just wanted to clarify how fabricating the brackets could be simple and no one should be intimidated by it.
I still have one more housing if anyone is interested. Any other housings will be made upon request only. The LED cluster that will fit is Custom Dynamics' 1.8" 48 LED cluster http://www.customdyn...is_LED_Clusters_. There are probably many others that will fit. Thanks!
