What's a po' boy to do now a days if he wants to put GSXR mirrors on a 5th Gen?

You missed the group buy on custom CNC machined mirror bases to mount Gixxer mirrors to the 5th gens. Sry.
Was that something other than Darth Bling's mirror mounts? Those seemed to have gone disco. a long time ago.

I know I missed out on all the DB stuff. So what's a guy to do now?
1. Have some custom mounts made. Best bet is to try to see if Darthbling would be willing to share his CAD work with you and then try to price it out at a local CNC shop. I can't imagine it would be cheap for just one set though (thus the group buy way back when).
2. See if anyone who participated in the group buy would be willing to sell their mounts. Dubious at best but it never hurts to try.
3. Look at other after market alternatives that are similar in design but made for the VFR. Again dubious thanks to issues of quality.

Are any of the cheap azz Ebay mirrors better than others?
I've even given thought of putting these in the OEM mirrors:

Wonder if they are bright enough to be seen at all? Anyone have any experience with something like that?
