FYI, it is not a good idea to post your VIN publicly.  There was an article in last month's Cycle Canada about a motorcycle theft ring in Toronto.  One of their tactics was to use a VIN from another bike, typically out-of-province or from a US bike, and stamp it onto the stolen m/c.  This works because provinces do not share registry information. Maybe the point is moot if VINs for a particular model are all sequential so that all thieves need to do +1 to create a valid VIN but I'm just paranoid about posting that kind of thing.

Anyway on topic, my bike is a '96 so definitely not the youngest.

Mine may well be the oldest with the least Km travelled. 1994 with 46000Km. She was one of the first to Australia.

I think the '94 would be "OLDER" than Dutchy's '97. I take "youngest" to mean one of the LAST produced. Then again, I've taken a girl saying "no" to mean "yes"!

Mine was originally purchased new with 2 miles on it on May 14, '98 from Cleaveland Akron Honda in Oakwood, Ohio. The sales invoice shows a price of $7,999.00 with a total of $9,003.18 after taxes and $470.00 for an extended service plan.

Six years later, I bought it in Colorado from the original owner (with all paperwork) and only 2400 miles on it. I paid $5,600.00 ( a bit more than average) but it was immaculate and had the very low odometer reading. I still have every reciept for everything that has ver been done to this bike.

My '97 VIN sticker says manufactured in 8/96.
I've got 701074 - Just 35 prior to Dutchy's. Alas, I lose another contest...

Mine's a geezer, a 1995 built at the end of 94. Just number 19 on the 95 model production line though........

Not the youngest by year ('95), but young at heart, just having passed 50 000 km.

I think you can only compare production numbers from bikes with the same VDS, i.e., RC360 (49-state) and RC36A (somewhere in Europe) each have 000001-numbered bikes (and so on).  But, I don't have an inside source at Honda--just an educated guess...

Ours are definitely at the elderly end of the spectrum!

Mine is a October 1994 build, JH2RC36U4SM500191 - 98,000km

Mrs Phantoms is a February 1995 build, JH2RC36UOSM500284 - 21,734km

Like Dutchy's bike, mine is a French import too (into UK).

Slightly older than his though - ...700189

I'm a 97, #533.

Well I'm a T 1996 with 51,032...  Maybe not a good idea to show entire VIn# scamers seem to  conjure up some amazing @#$%!!!
