Reinforcing Thinner Fairings?

Hey all.  I have one of the thinner Chinese replacement body panels for my VFR.  (To be specific, tail section for 5th gen from another user on here (and I totally like it man!).)  Anyway, it does already have a small crack in it just from shipping, and I don't want it to crack while on the bike.  What can I do to reinforce the plastic?  Can I spread some sort of material along the backside of the fairing in strategic locations?  Should I go ghetto and duct tape the hell out of it?  Suggestions would be much appreciated (pictures too, if you've done this yourself).

Thanks!

Yeah, unlike factory the pins just stick up with no support.  You can plastic weld or use some type of epoxy to help support those mount areas!
