Well, it would push the wind up and over you.

I don't think I would put it on my bike though.

that's awful

That's a beautiful blue bike you have there but I would have to ax that shield.

China?

Yeah i already took it off lol. Its from some company out of florida and they dont accept returns. Im not sure if its because of the double bubble design or just a bad design all together.

I ordered something similar for my 5th generation not long after I purchased it last year. Believe I've heard Timmy refer to these screens as the DCDB "dubious Chinese Double Bubble".

I also purchased mine on Ebay but the package arrived from Powersports Superstore Inc. Here's a link to a screen w/the same part # as the one I received

The part number was listed as PU23011107 MOTO BRACKETS WINDSCREEN VFR800 SMK WSAS508.

I paid $32.37 + $11.95 shipping for mine early last year. Note: shipping charges may be less for a screen only for I also purchased a tank bra-which never arrived and I later received credit for what I was charged for the bra plus some of the shipping charge.

When the screen arrived I was disappointed by how dark the tint was , but I ended up replacing the stock screen with it anyway. The fit wasn't bad and I still have it mounted on my viffer since it leaves my helmet in relatively clean  air for my height (5' 7")and seems to do a better job of deflecting bugs vs. the stock screen and also keeps more water off my torso when it's raining.

I don't think mine may be as tall as yours and looks-wise imo the screen doesn't look so bad on my red viffer since the dark smoke  provides a nice contrast. I do wish the tint was significantly lighter though. Mine is so dark that you can barely see though it.

Since you say you can't return yours for credit have you considered trimming it down to see if you might be happier with the look?

Uhmmmm.... a lot of double bubble screens kinda look like that from the side, although that one does seem a bit exaggerated heigth-wise at the trailing edge....any shots of it from the front so we can better judge its looks on your bike??

I already took it off the bike so i dont have any pics from front view. The only reason i wanted to change it out was, the guy who had it before me painted the stock one black but did a horrible job and the paint has cracks all over it. I think im going to resand it trim it up some to give it a custom look and repaint it, and ju s t try to sell my other one.

In the picture on the right, it kind of looks like the profile of those ancient Egyption statues, the ones with the high headdress. Personally I don't think it looks that good, it detracts from the looks of the rest of the bike. Although if this were a touring "rig", with saddle bags, rear trunk, tank bag, etc. it might fit in a little better. This is definitely not a "Sports" screen.

Zero Gravity sells seconds of their shields for a good discount. I have one on my bike. The only thing I could tell when looking at it is that in a few select locations, where the screen was bent, and there was a crease there (on purpose), there were a VERY FEW, TINY LITTLE bubbles in the crease.

Unless you had it off the bike, and held it up to the sunlight and examined it, you'd never know.

Very FUGLY...sorry. I really like the look of the Zero Gravity SR smoked screen.

To be honest the screen seems a tad bit too high in regards to looks.

Did you ride the bike before you took the screen off? How well did it work? Jeff J.
