Hey guys,
Anyone with experience with this  year of T?
a not so local salvage has on that was a theft recovery
16,000 miles with only a broken quick connect at fuel tank(known for being brittle) and a broken right rearset.   the body work , on the other hand, is a hideous mess of spray on adhesive and looks like heavy wall vinvyl or something. Nasty -i thought about a streetfighter for it-the thieves covered it in that vinyl garbage to hide it-$1500.00
Any experience with the triple?
I had a 98 595 so im used to that older 3 cyl but not the newer one.
thanks Zac

I've heard mostly good things about that bike. I know it has a few documented issues, but nothing that would make it be called a pile of junk.

I also had a '98 T595. Loved the bike. No experience with the 2002.

Yes, I realize that this post does not help. Sorry.

I'd check here:  http://www.triumphrat.net/sport-and-touring/

Lots of radiated heat from the triple, not as bad on the Speed Triple as on the Daytona, which holds the heat in and sends it up to the rider. If that's not a deal breaker they are pretty nice things to ride. Like a cross between a V4 and a V twin.

By 2002 they had improved quality control across the range and the fueling was much better too - earlier injected Triumphs were a tad unpredictable.

I had a '98 T595 S3 Also.  Awesome bike.  What are they asking for it?  You could just make it a Day Triple if the price is right.
