Fairing panel "repair" stick-em?

I'm in the middle of a cosmetic job on my 2000.  When I got it, I knew the body was pretty trashed and the paint job was awful, so no surprise, but I haven't ever seen this material I found when I started patching up the holes in the bodywork.  It is like very thick black electrical tape, but in big sheets that seem to hold some shape, too.  Very strong adhesive, it held the silver paint this PO squirted on quite well.  He camoflaged these patches with cheezy stickers and poorly applied decals.  I would like to get some of this 'panel-mender' stuff to have in my tool kit for temporary repairs.

On repainting and repairing the fairing:  What a tedious task!  I have been sanding and patching now for two complete days and I have one more before I can even think about putting urethane on...Then, I'll have all the fasteners to contend with.  After the finish 'cures'  I think I'lll probably need to remove the bodywork again and buff out the clear coat, too.  It is a big job, repainting a trashed-out fairing properly.  I can see why this PO just squirted it with a rattle can and taped over the holes....

I have some bodywork that I could make you a good deal on, not to pimp my sale and I am a newbie on here so I hope this doesnt offend anyone :)  I have red bodywork though so that might not help you.  upper fairing, a tail section, left lower fairing and probably a front fender somewhere.  PM me if you are interested Don

Thanks for the offer but I went ahead a fixed all the panels I had, spent lots of time taking off the crap the Previous Owner had put on and painted it with some Urethane two part paint in the Honda Tempest Gray color.   Since the pic, I also re-did the faded out Two Bros muffler and took off THAT garish lable....
