Also, where can you purchase pick-and-choose hoses? I'd love to purchase some braided hoses, but I'm not willing to drop the multi-hundred dollars that a full kit costs. I'd like to replace only the front hoses from the lever to the calipers, and maybe the hose from the rear master cylinder to the caliper and ignore the rest of the clbs. Seems to me that the two outer pistons on the front calipers are directly connected without any other gubbins in between, so just replacing those should be the most cost effective upgrade.
Now that I think about it, I don't think it'd even be worth upgrading the rear hoses at all. Since the rear pedal activates the caliper plus the proportioning valve, no amount of bleeding and hose upgrading will get rid of the 'sponginess' of activating the proportioning and delay valves. So yeah, I just want the hoses that run between the front lever and the calipers.
Also editing: I can't help but think that unless your clutch hose is very old and spongy, there wouldn't be much advantage in changing it either. Since the clutch operates at a fairly low pressure I don't see it being able to exert enough pressure on the stock hose enough to matter. Could be wrong though.
