For those with lower pegs, what did you do for the brake lever?

Hi Guys;

I am looking to find out what my options are for the brake pedal if I lower the pegs 1 to 1.5 inches? There are a few of you with lowered pegs on here, so would like to see what the general solution is. I know Thurn has an expensive replacement pedal that sits slower, but is that the only option?

Cheers;

With my BLS lowering blocks, I just maxed out the adjuster. It seems to work for me. I think there is a way you can trim of some extra material from the adjuster screw to get a bit more out of it. BLS (buiylittleshop) might have some more input on this.

I adjusted mine to drop the lever and adjusted the brake light switch accordingly. Could have just cut of the lever for as much as I use the thing frankly.

This is what I did. Worked fine for me.

Is this same for a 3rd Gen?  Also gear shifter,  does not seem to be any adjustment for that on 3G??

All the bikes I've seen, the shifter is a take-off and put back on in a different spot on the spleen.... easy as cake, or a piece of pie :tongue:

Thanks Monk!  I will re-try to remove my shifter!

Thanks for the input guys, I had seen the thread talking about mounting the BLS blocks and the solutiond for the brake pedal, but was not sure if the same "fixes" applied to the seventh Gen... Good to know!

Mine didn't adjust far enough wor the Buell pegs I put on, so I took it off, heated it up, and put a slight double-bend in it.
