New D.I.D. 530 ZVM-X "Mr. T. Autograph Model" Gold Chain Installed

New sprockets and chain last night.  Mr. T. would be proud.  I expect this super, high strength chain to last over 20K miles.  We shall see.

Looks good! Where and how much was it? If you don't mind sharing?

I purchased the chain from Sprocket Center.  It was about $170.  Not inexpensive, but they really seem to have a high tensile strength and resist stretching.  Also the plating is very good and is on all sides of the plates.  I had one on my old 1995 VFR750 when it met its untimely demise.  I don't think I had to adjust it during its lifetime.

BTW, I met you in person in 2011 at the site of the Gen 4 crash.  You stopped to check on me.  I was pretty much unscathed.  The VFR750 was toast and my riding partner had already been taken away by the ambulance.  I was there with a friend riding the area the same week as TexasMac.  I WILL attend TexasMac in the future.  I should have that week in 2011.

I remember, it was on 68 below Tellico Plains. Seems like there was a HD off the road also when I pulled a U-turn and returned to check on you. :ph34r:   How is your friend BTW?

Yeah, the location is correct on TN 68.  My friend is in pretty good shape.  I'd say he is about 90 percent and continuing to improve.  He had a badly broken leg and other sundry injuries.  The Harley off the road is what started the whole chain of events.  I've told the story before in a thread over a year ago.  The lesson to be learned for me was leave a F-ton of space between yourself and the rider ahead of you no matter how well you know their riding habits.  When they see something unusual ahead of them (like large-Marge crashed on a big pink Harley in the weeds) they may react unusually - e.g. jamming on the binders and crossing the double yellow in front of you.  Be prepared for weird sh!t.  Anyway, I've ridden with my friend since the accident.  There is more to the story, but I'll leave that for another time.

That wasn't me at the Mex. place near Barber.  But, I've been to Barber twice and love it!
