Warrior and I are planning a ride out to the Indy MotoGP via Motorcyclepedia Museum, Newburg, NY, Gettysburg, Tail of the Dragon, and the Indianapolis Speedway then home. We have 10 days, new tires, grandstand seats, on-track "controlled ride" tickets and passes for all three days of the Indy Grand Prix.
When in Robbinsville, you will probably take a few runs up and down the Dragon, might I suggest heading west over the Cherehola Skyway the next day its pretty awsome! over to Tellico Plaines and then back over as such.
The controlled ride on the track used to be fun, but I hear they have it pretty much to a crawl now. I ripped around the track a few years ago on my Speed Triple at well over 100 mph across the bricks for two laps. That was pretty incredible just to look up into the stands and almost feel what the racers experience. There are some great roads down south of Bloomington IN. Do a search for the roads and you will see what I am talking about. Story IN for example has about the twistiest that you will find in Indiana!
