I have no history on the bike, Im not even sure how many miles it has on it. It looks like something heavy fell on the front fairing ripping it off and knocking the bike over on its left side. The fairing, headlight, gauges, and bracket are all damaged. Also the shifter was bent ( I couldnt shift up except into neutral, I have bent it back enough that all gears are accessible now.), the rear fairing is cracked and the passenger seat cowl is missing.
The bike came with a sergeant seat a slip on exhaust and racing slicks front and rear.
As far as I can tell everything else is in good shape (minus a small dent in the tank that looks like it was unrelated to the rest of the damage). If anyone knows of anything I should be sure to check please let me know.
I would like to change the rear sub frame to something leaner, like from the cbr1000. Also change to a front mounted radiator and cbr100 body work, kindof like the Bioblade bike.
If the front end plastic would be too difficult I would like to try the naked bike look, with either a single or twin headlight setup, I would just have to find something to do with all the wires up there.
For the gauges I was going to use an aftermarket computer, something small and simple.
For the engine, are there any simple mods that are worth doing? Ive read about flappers other airbox mods, but are those much better or should I just drop in a K&N filter?
For the suspension I was going to do a 929 rear shock and either race tech cartridges for the forks, or RC51 swap. Also a steering stabilizer and some convertibars.
Does anyone know of a tank that "fits" even if it needs some custom mounting?
Thanks in advance of any tips or advice.
The first 3 pictures are what it looked like when I first got it home, the next 3 are now that Ive gotten all of the plastic off.
