New to me 2001

So, after lusting and drooling over a VFR800 for over two years, I finally purchased one tonight.  I wanted a 6th Gen but a 5th Gen made more sense for me at this time.  I bought a gently used 2001.  I'm attempting to attach a cell phone pic.  It needs new tires so my ride home was fairly mellow.

Hopefully I exist now.

Srsly, congrats, hope the weather in your area is still good for riding. It snowed here today.

I got one of 'em.  I'll have to find another.  I'm just happy to have a VFR to ride.

Oh...and now I understand your "copious amount of throttle" comment.

The weather here is fabulous now but a cold front is coming in a day or two...but we should have more riding time left.

That's a beautiful piece of machinery you've got there. Congrats. It's been a long time coming.

I ordered and received the pivot cover thingy...now just need to figure out how to install them.  I assume they pop or snap in.

I appreciate the 5th gen more after owning it.  I haven't ruled out owning a 6th gen, too.

Of a shakey and grainy old guy.

Congrats!  I am loving my '01.  The '07 is a great "work horse" and its nice BUT..... my 5th gen just pushes all of my buttons.  The look, the sound, the feel and character...it really is an amazing machine.  I hope Honda captures the magic of this bike again someday, because nothing else they make at this point even comes close for me.
