I already mounted an Accumen digital gear indicator on my 5th Gen, and was thinking of doing the same on my 6th gen. The Accumen came with my 5th gen but wasn't installed, and it seems to work ok but its a bit slow to indicate the correct gear and gear change. So I thought that I would see what else is out there.
Does anyone have any other recommendations for digital indicators and also, where to mount them? I was thinking of on the top of the dash in between the screen.
I found this one on Amazon and it looks like a quality piece. Pricey though!

I have one of those on my 4th Gen, and like it. It does what I need it to do, and plugs right into my speedo healer made by the same company. I also have experience with the Acumen model, both are quite good, it all depends on what you want, and are willing to spend.
If you go for Healtech's Gipro, be mindful that is a different type for 6th gen before & after '06. That's due to the fact that on after '06 the connection is made directly into service connector (computation info is given directly by the ECU) while for the previous the connection is made to the speed sensor with a splice to the RPM indicator. Apparently the second type performs a little faster due to the fact thet the gear indicator device is getting the info directly from the sensors. Many thanks are going to kaldek for explaining this to me as well. As a pro for Gipro is the reduced dimensions & easy programing.
Yes I saw that there are two different versions, one for pre '06 and one for after. Of course, the one for '06 and later like mine is more expensive but it does sound easier to install.
