My wife got me a cool little gear indicator because she knows I like to tinker. It has 2 sided tape on the back and the wire coming out of the bottom.

I have been staring at the dash of my 2000 wondering where the heck I am going to put this thing. Does anyone with a 5th gen have one installed and where did you mount it? Pictures would be great.

Thanks,

Primo

I've got a gear indicator to attach similar type & plan to remove the screen & put it on top of the dash panel. I'll just drill a hole for the cable through the top of the fairing, fix it in plac e& put the screen back on !

I don't have one but have seen one placed right in the middle of the tach with the wire going straight down and under the plastic dash surround. That is where I plan to put mine if I ever get one.

I put mine on my triple clamp for my 5th Gen.  It is an Accumen instead of the heal tech which I bought for my Gen 6.  I will try to post a pic for you when I get back home this weekend.

Thank you for all your responses. I am thinking about the top of the dash as Mohawk has suggested. Should be easy to see and fairly simple for installation.

So is that mounted over the N indicator?  (I have a  6th gen, so don't know the 5th gen dash)

Sure is.  Clever.  My Accumen isnt the most "Accu-rate" so I am glad I didnt cover my neutral light.  Looks good though.

it is mounted on top of the Neutral light
