Went for a ride yesterday with his brother and a friend.  was unable to maintain his lane on a really bumpy road (that his brother should not have lead him down) and lowsided on the right, slide across the road and the bike (and him) hit the raised pavement of a driveway while sliding and barrel rolled.

rear sub frame, front fairing stay and all plastics are hit, not sure if any thing will be salvagable.

it is the first time I will file a motorcycle claim in 38 years of riding. looked last night and was just going to make him pay for the parts but a closer this morning in the light had me calling my Geico agent.

I leave for Chicago in the (early) morning and will meet with the adjuster on Thursday.

So, what are we thinking, F4i plastics? back to stock with just a paint job or something totally different?

Glad to hear he is okay. The bike can be fixed........and you have 7 or 8 (?) more in the garage to ride in the mean time.

Time for the new front end to be put on too!

yeah, going with the USD.

Does anyone know a place that will repair dinged/cracked alloy wheels?

Wow, hate to see that.  Glad to know he's okay though.

Who's the VFRD member in TX who repairs wheels? He still on the forum?

There's a guy in TN who "straightened" my 8 spoke. He forgot about it for a few months then rushed it when I called and asked. Not impressed, don't recommend. I don't know of anybody local, though.

I haven't used him, but did see good reviews on the WERA board about him.

Would that have been Will's Rim Repair?
