Well, received the starter clutch assembly repair kit today!!
Put in the new rollers, springs and nubs (?)... opened up the starter motor and thorough cleaned the commutator, bearing, bushing and brushes... all like new now! Was pretty dirty though for sure.
Buttoned up everything back together... VFR fired up much more quieter and near instantaneously!!!! Hot damn!

Nice! I love being able to refresh/rebuild components, rather than replacing them with new.
