Fireside Copper Powder Coated Wheels

Originally posted this as a post script to the thread where I rode my bike purchased in Portland back to Virginia in September. The bike has been in the garage all this sucxky winter...so I had a local place ASCO in Manassas VA strip and powder coat the rims....

I likes the copper rims, but the duplicolor copper ? Wasn't holding up to chain oil and road grime.

Color I picked? Pretty much the same: Prismatic pmb-4934 Fireside copper http://www.prismatic...olors/PMB-4934/
Looks close to a new copper metallic...non transparent almost like a new penny with some sparkle...lighting makes a huge difference especially for pics...flash makes them look orange almost in a pic...Bike pic taken by previous owner gnarly928

Color of new PC'd rims fluorescent light with no flash. I think it is a pretty good color match and goes great with the Tempest Grey Metallic Gnarly928 blessed the bike with: [image: IMAG0344_zps30c1f38f.jpg]

The gray looks much like the "magnet gray" of my Ape,

and the wheels look a similar color to the frame. :happy:

I thank Don (gnarly928) for coming up with the color combo...its a winner in my book...
