I've been eyeing the GoPro but their latest versions seem to have some quality control issues (freezing up, battery drain issues, etc).  Can anyone with the White/Silver/Black edition comment on their experiences so far?

Thanks for the link.  I was all set to pull the trigger, but it is in store pick up only, and the local stores don't have it.

Not sure about the Hero3, but I've got a Hero2 and I love it! It's been a great teaching tool at the track, for seeing what I was doing right and wrong (body position, turn in points, etc.), and for general use for making awesome videos when dicing it up with your brothers/buddies! Not sure about the new one (Hero3), but with the Hero2 I can do a full day at the track (6-7 sessions) on one battery charge, and have had ZERO issues. Good luck!

So far I haven't found a single store that has it. I'd jump on it in a minute if I could find one.

Maybe it was a typical Best Buy deal. "Oh sorry sir, we only had three for sale, and they're all gone."

Well, that just sucks.

Perhaps best not to waste your time. Aside from Best Buy being a really shady company, here's what they are actually advertising

The original GoPro HD.

You can still get the Contour with the waterproof kit for $120 shipped. Up $20 from before now. Compare the two yourself to see if you like it. I like the Contour better because it doesn't bubble the image anywhere near as much as the GoPro.

has ANYONE tried the Liquid Image Ego's ?   I've been seeing them as low as like $135ish...  Thing that really gets my attention is that they are WiFi, so you can view them using a smartphone/app setup.

I looked at the Contour Roam also and liked the look and specs. I just haven't bitten the bullet to buy any yet.
