Can The Seat/brain Bucket Lock Be Relocated?

I want to move the ugly seat lock to someplace less noticeable. I don't care if I can't lock my helmet on. I just want it out of the way. Anyone ever move it somewhere else?

My seat hasnt been locked in 4 years, but it is a 2 peice Sargent seat and the solo cowl keeps it lashed down. I would imagine that a solo cowl would keep the stock seat in place as well.

If you do not care for the lock itself either, then removing the lot and simply putting a ring at the end of the cable will serve your needs.

You could find one from a CBR600f4i and relocate it above the rear taillight on the VFR
