Passing the helmet for stewy and lenna

This is short notice.
 
I'm passing the helmet.  Stewie and Lenna are in Amarillo and en-route to OKLAHOMA CITY with a broken bike.  They are NOT asking for money, parts are on order, but there have been several people asking for ways to donate to their journey.
 
I can facilitate that... to a point.  I've got an active PayPal account, and it's looking like they will be in the area until Saturday.  That's roughly 48 hours that I can transfer funds via my paypal.
 
If you feel inclined to send some well-wishes through a cash donation to them, please send me a PM and I'll get you the information (<-- will be deleted later so it's not on the interweb for all time.) to pipe to my account.
 
There's a good deal of trust involved, and obviously most of you will simply have to trust that I'm honest enough to get them what you decide to give.  I will CLOSE DONATIONS AT 5PM CST U.S. Saturday NIGHT THE 3rd OF AUGUST, 2013 so that I can ensure getting them the the entirety of the funds that we raise before they leave my area.  Please don't go crazy as I've only got so much cash on hand.

 I had the distinct pleasure of giving Riot Girl the proper kisses per your request as young Jon (Yokel) did not have the experience (as judged by his comments) to perform the task. You are welcome and I will be happy to assist you in the future should a similar situation arise!

 All kidding aside, what a fantastic couple they are. Adam was a real pleasure to be around and the bonus was getting to meet Mrs. GSwanson for the first time. And so his feelings won't be hurt, I have to give credit to Yokel for not only rescuing Lena and Adam from Amarillo but for also treating us to dinner. He has a weakness for BBQ which I have exploited on two occasions now! Thanks buddy!

 Here's wishing for the remainder of the  trip to be trouble free for Lena and Adam. They have earned it.

Stewy and Lenna are on their way to NY.  I hope to catch up with them tomorrow morning and get them to a local Honda dealer for new rubber on the Vstrom.  Then they are off to Niagara Falls, returning to the downstate area on Wednesday evening.  With any luck, Seb and I (any others?) will get to ride with them on Thursday for one of their last days on 2......and 3 wheels in the USA. 

I'd like to pass the helmet one more time.  Hopefully we can collect enough to pay for tires..........or at least be able to hand them some cash to make their weekend in NY a little nicer and easier.

I don't think everyone is sleeping............I just really really suck at fundraising.  I had a similar impact with Little League and cheer leading fund raisers.........sigh.  $30 so far.......Seb and I will add to that on Thursday.  Maybe I could even buy the lens for my future clear clutch  cover from Seb and he can throw that $20 in the helmet..........hmmmmmmm.  We need a few members from NY and NJ to toss in $10 to help our friends pay for the road and bridge tolls in our great states !  Hello...........hello...............hello......

Thanks to all that have donated.  This second passing of the helmet was a short notice and a short duration.........sorry.     $150 total.......over $100 of this from a few members north of the border.  Our Canadian friends stood tall on this go round.  MaxSwell, rdguy, GP Paul and Polarbear..........Lenna and Adam will greatly appreciate it.  Seb and I will add to the cause today and tonight.
