Coolant Leak

just baught a 3rd gen1990 that has been sitting for a long while
took it for my first ride and it worked awesome
buuut i took a peek under it after and saw a few drips of coolant
off with the fairings....
looks good and dry on the pipes inbetween the heads,seem to be on the left side where the lower rad hose is (not the hose) is that a waterpump?
that seems to be the only wet area.are those covers common to leak?

Because it was sitting the shaft seal probably dried out and it's leaking from there. Give it a while for the coolant to swell up the seal and hope it stops leaking. 

ya that sounds like best scenario i could hope for

i squezed the life out of the hoses while there were hot and under pressure nothing came out anywhere
