Maybe trim the body panel/cowel cowl a bit more?

Fitting the painted plate was a breeze.

Upon removing the cover, the starter reduction gear axle came out as well with the o-ring falling down. It was a bit of a wiggle to get it in again.
The clutch springs were only a fraction below factory new spec. all friction plates 3mm so re-used tem as well. Some of the metal plates had some discoloring, so changed them from the clutch pack I bought used.
The basket looks like this:

Looks fabulous Dutchy. Love the fairing mod. Mind if I copy it on my fifth gen? Do have a patent or copyright? If not, you should.
Wow, that looks incredible!
Very nice looking bike! The new peep show window looks great with the plate matching the drapes.
Awesome Dutchy...I love it.
That cover travels more than I do.

Price for copying is $50
but I give you a 100% rebate...
I used my set of compasses (I kept since secondary school  ) with the old cover still on to make sure the circle cut out was proper round. (don't want to mark the lexan do we?)
Sourced a damaged (where I would be cutting anyway) lower cowl for cheap; unfortunately could not find a mid section with damage in that area...
Dremel with cutting wheel is handy to have as well.
Very well done, I love the idea of cutting back the fairing.
Now about those blue rim stripes........
The red and black looks great Leon!
