Yae Or Nae?
Dutchy, I'd say 'Nay. It seems a bit 'busy' and detracts from that clutch cover. But that's just me.
That post modern house would look awful black.
It is possible to over do it. She looks great as is. My $.02 is that if the farkle bug continues biting you to get an additional bike and start on that one.
like except for the number........
" 69"
I don't see a garage at that apartment. Nae.
Too busy. Why are you trying to put more clothes on the red slut?
I like
I say Nay mainly because the shape of the plate is all wrong. Do an adhesive 1/4" pin stipe tape number plate to have fun laying it out. Then do adhesive numbers inside. Stare at that for awhile and see what you think...
No need to ask permission :-)
speaking as a custom bike builder...
who gives a crap what anyone else thinks??
its your bike! make it what YOU like!
ditto if thats your box house
Well, long story short.....Post away!!!!
No need to ask permission :-)
Bought this bike , a (humble but loveable) Hornet 2001 :

And then thought of personalizing it .... This is what it became :

And then, a short time after, I had another idea.....this idea become the most beautiful Hornet in RO some time ago :

In other words - mind not the 81.25% (me included  ) that voted for "Nae". The same majority burned Galileo for " And yet it moves"   (http://en.wikipedia....nd_yet_it_moves ) . They were all wrong    .
Yea!....of course! :fing02:
But just in the right amounts.....
No knee grabber tankpad installed on this older left side pic....
Satin black paint matches the NACA duct and belly pan finish.....
I also thought of adding in black number plate areas at the tail cowl area, ala-RC45,, but I decided it will look a bit "overdone/trying too hard" on a 4th gen VFR that will most likely never see the track anytime in its life. I still might do something at the top front fairing around the lights to knock down the red a bit, which was the reason I blacked out the waist area of the bike......which I think got rid of the thick waisted look.....
Why not try some D-Noc covering first to see how it goes. At least that stuff is easy to remove if things don't quite work out aesthetically.
IMAO, you're now messing with Mr Inbetween. You've gone a bit beyond black highlights, but are not yet at two tone red/black.
Like Beck, I'm a highlights guy more than two tone...but if you're chasing a two tone look then committ to it.
I say yay, but with Beck's pittures as reference rather than the originals.. and a full size tank grip instead of the thin bar
Can we see the bike from another angle and perhaps with a dutch prostitute sitting on it?
Rollin
He is a dutch prostitute ..
I have been messing around to break up all that Red as well.
The tank pad and some fun ideas with black here and there will get it done.

I also trimmed my front fender down to a shape I like and painted that Black.

True! for 40 hours a week, my ass belongs to a global company headquartered in the US....... :goofy:

Uhmmm.......but Dutchy, I got from good sources that you are the Dutch "Control subject" being given placebos by Pfizer's Viagra division!.....
You better ask your boss what's really going on!.....
Tried the real stuff once...
3,5 hours solid performance
but according to my wife,
$25 for 10 minutes more is not worth it...... :goofy:
Back on topic, thanks for convincing me to abandon the black tail. Might go with black Stompgrips......
He even looks like Dutchy ...
all that matters is you like it-- looks different why not ya

The tail number perfectly fits you and your driving style.
(In dutch 11 stands for "insane number" )
But i don't like it on a red VFR.
11 my number of choice when I played waterpolo for the above mentioned reason :goofy:
