Little over a year ago, 226A was ruined with tar snakes. My Dad just called me from the intersection of 226 and 226A. Here are the signs that he saw:
-One Lane Road
-Uneven Lanes
-Road Under Construction for 10 Miles

Great times on that road a few years ago, chasing MiniCarver and trying to wave KevCarver around an off duty cop in Jeep Cherokee or Chebby trailblazer or some such...

So you make a habit of this?  I'll never forget that big nasty hand holding a badge out the window at the Bristol fall ride.

Here is what I am told by the COFSTA leader:

"The "Diamondback" is being repaved this spring to cover up the tar snakes, according to Gary Jensen at the Switzerland Inn. He says part will be asphalt and part will be chip-and-seal. Work is to be completed by mid-May."

Use to be one of my favorite roads in that area. Great riding around there. Maybe TMac nest year? Good lodge just outside of Little Switzerland. Just sayin'.

Oh yeah...forgot about that...that is why no one wants to sweep for us anymore I guess.

Thanks Randy!
