Is it me or are the helmet locks on the new VFR retarded? My buddies GSXR600 and Kawi 12R are both normal hooks that you can hang the helmet strap on, but on the VFR I have to use that crazy cord? Has anyone figured a better way to lock your helmet on the new VFR?

I don't have an 8th gen, but lost the helmet locks when I put Beetle Bags on my 5th gen. I ended up going with bar end locks and have been happy with them. It is another key to carry, but I have the Beetle Bag key too, so they go together on a ring and in the bags while riding.
