Before I start my little experiment, I am trying to do some presearch. I got a 3rd gen minus fairings (see avatar), and since 4th gen lower fairings are cheaper and more plentiful, it might be fun to try some on and see how they fit. Anyone know if the mounting holes are anywhere close? The mid fairings will likely stay off, so they aren't much of a concern for me.
Lower Fairings - 3Rd Vs 4Th Gen
not even close.. stick with finding a 3 gen set.
I think I have a right side 3rd Gen lower somewhere in my attic. It has some very minor rash but I'd be wiling to part with it if you are interested.

How do I not have that? :goofy:

I remember buying an extra one about 5 years ago but haven't seen it for at least 2 or 3 years. All I know is that it is buried in a box somewhere in my attic or crawlspace but I just haven't been motivated to look for it. I decided that I would finally go through all those boxes and look for it since it is getting close to that time of year to pull out the Christmas decorations anyways.
If you are looking for lowers, there is a set on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/...4d289cb&vxp=mtr
I have a spare left mid I could part with that I bought as a set to get the right mid that I needed.
Let me know...

Rollin, when they do show up, I'd be interested for sure. I'm not in a rush, so please don't feel like you have to hurry on my account.
Trumpeter: Thanks for the heads up. That set is a little rougher than I'd prefer, and I'm in no rush. When I do rebuild my 3rd gen fairings, I will need the just the right middle as well, my left mid is still useable.
I've recently bought a chin spoiler from a mid 80's VFR, so we'll see what I can do with that.
