My Vfr's

Can't remember if I ever actually introduced my bike(s).  I have two actually, a vinyl wrapped in white 1990 that's currently sorn and a none runner, spare parts bin but will be fixed up shortly.  I also have a near mint 93, very mild damage on the right panels from a previous owners stand still drop but they're being repaired.  Owned her since beginning of January, here's some pics to show what I've done so far:   When I picked it up - Very, very red as you can see!  Only 23000 on the clock and a folder history that'd make your eyes water, everything EVER has been documented and kepy.  Mental!  Completely standard other than the high level Remus and a black windscreen.   [image: _57_zps74e37a38.jpg]   [image: _571_zps5c0ebc3b.jpg]   [image: _574_zps71474598.jpg]   I found the red a bit overpowering so swapped the seat for a black one I have:   [image: 10931446_724993254288703_159741264756071]   I then decided to take my white wheels off the other VFR and put on an original clear screen, I also bought some clear indicators, had to mod the rear fairing a bit to make them fit, was a bit miffed about this as they're meant to be carbon copies:   [image: IMAG2054_zps3c959baf.jpg]   [image: IMAG2051_zps49477f74.jpg]   [image: IMAG2052_zpsb6f0b9f4.jpg]   I then installed a Delkevic exhaust as the Remus is very, very muted.  The Delkevic has freed up a flat spot at 6krpm and saved a heap of weight so the bike feels a lot pokier:   [image: IMAG2059_zps7d485fb2.jpg]   [image: IMAG2060_zps1e935a29.jpg]   [image: IMAG2063_zpsb72e26bf.jpg]   And here's the white one along side it.  Ignore the stickers, they're coming off and it's going back to plain white.  Think it looks quite trick with red wheels.   [image: IMAG2066_zps833164a8.jpg]   [image: IMAG2067_zps3799d8f4.jpg]   The white one is going off to a very competent mechanic.  It requires a fair bit of work:   new fuel lines new fuel filter ultransonic cleaned carbs putting back on and balancing front brakes rebuilding general service items, oil and filter.  Air filter is fine as are the spark plugs, coolant is nearly new.   It has the following though:   Hagon rear shock stiffer springs in the front I think, seems more solid than the ones on the red bike full Motad SS system high flow air filter shorty levers   The red one is having either a Maxton resprung/revalved set of forks put on the front along with a Maxton rear shock.  OR...a CBR600RR USD set up with the Maxton on the rear.  I've yet to decide on this.  So I'll keep this updated with any moves I make!   Oh here's a video of the Delkevic   [video: http://youtube.com/embed/d6hf4mn4GCo?html5=1&fs=1]

Very clean bikes!  Your FP looks almost exactly like mine did when I bought it--very, very red.  I've since changed it to black wheels and seat.

Nice. I like the alternating colors I.e. Red bike with white wheels and white bike with red wheels/seat. Definitely some good looking bikes!

I actually like the white with red scheme, more than the red with white.  :)

Reminds me of the 1991 and 1992 Honda CBR 600 F2.  In 1991 when the bike was launched they had white with red wheels.  In 1992 then they had red with red wheels, and that was waaaaay too much red.  alot of people swapped them for white wheels.

A+ on the wheel swap. Those white wheels look heaps better on the red bike. Red wheels on the white bike look ok too but that red seat HAS TO GO! :0)  Also a good choice with the Delkevic pipe. That Remus stuck way out beyond the rear fender and had to weight a ton. Good looking pair now.

Trust me Timmy, the white one is far from showroom haha, under it's pretty little shell it's a rustbucket.  Previous owners looked to have left it outside most of it's life.  Every nut and bolt was seized but it's all getting sorted slowly.  The vinyl wrap really brought it back to life.  I also need to sort out that Motad end can, got scratches and dents all over it.

Thanks mate! I want to modify the crap out of both of them but I've got so much on at the moment. I'm going to Japan for two weeks at the end of March, Spain for a week in August, I'm buying the Mrs an engagement ring (she's got EXPECTATIONS mate!) and ergo a wedding to plan. So...as much as I hate to admit it, I may just need to put up with them as they are haha

Great looking bikes. Although I've never owned one, the rc36 is what got me into street vfrs. I ended up with a fuel injected 5th gen which I cut to pieces but I've always wanted one of these.

Buy one, you won't regret it!
