I just purchased the OEM Honda saddlebags for my VFR1200, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for liners that would fit them?
Saddlebag Liners For The Vfr1200
They do OEM bags for them.
I've seen some aftermarket on ebay.de for 50€ - liners are liners and besides a logo, color and the price tag there's nothing to consider.
Ventrua liners work apparently...

+1 on the Venturas. Shaped to fill the entire OEM case volume when full. Lightweight but built well. Wish they made one for the top case.
good find.
Looking at this link, am I correct in that this is for one, so I would need to order two of these?

thanks for replies. I get a discount on the $130 Honda liners, and the link to the ventura liners is too old, wont work. I was hoping something from another Honda model, aftermarket would be a reasonable fit inside the VFR1200 bags, and be $40 or abouts. So suggestions on $100 liner sets, would just be better for me to purchase the OEM.
Thought someone might have found a set of $40 that fit, work well, and be available here in USA, possibly Helmet House or some thing like that.
I'll post up what I buy, should be soon.
Also, ordered the seat from Corbin with the backrest.
Although the wife has her own bike, we (she) has decided it might be fun to travel together on one bike.
Bags, backrest, are key to allowing us to do that.
Any other suggestions welcome.
thx, joe
Ventura has a US rep to order from, he carries inventory. $145/set. Left and right are slightly different shape to fit case properly.

OEM Honda bag liners list for $130, I would get a discount. seeing the Ventura liners are $145 (+ tax, shipping), unless they are far superior, I would have to be sold to want them instead.
I realize, having a saddlebag liner, that isn't a perfect fit, isn't all that bad, there are some things, like tool kit, tire repair kit, possibly water and other items that one would not want to put directly inside the bag liner, so the extra room in the plastic hard case, can be used for other items.
I thought someone might have a source for something not $130 or higher, that would fit, almost fill the hard case.
thanks for all the replies.
Look like, so far, the OEM liners will be my choice.
or something like the bestem GL 1800 available from EBAY or Amazon.
Edited April 5, 2015 by suzukijoI bought nonOEM for the vtech and they fit fine, 40 bucks for two and I use a soft carry on bag for the trunk
I finally found the ones from ventura, $145 ( cant tell if that's plus tax and shipping). And the OEM Honda are $130? (no tax, no shipping for me). spinalator, when you say you bought non oem, what brand did you buy, and I assume its for the 800, if the fit wasn't perfect, was it ok?

My Ventura's were $145 total, ship and tax included in the price. I'll add one more comment as to why I went with the Ventura's...the 1200 cases are side opening, so if you have loose items they fall out when you open, and are a pain to stuff in when closing. If your liner doesn't efficiently fil the closed volume, then you'll be in this situation trying to get loose items in there too. I've read the OEM liners don't fill the full volume. The OEM cases are already small, so I chose the Venturas because they do fill the entire volume when packed properly.
BTW, I also found the OEM elastic straps to be a nuisance too, and removed them. No need for them with the Ventura liners.

Do you still have those straps?
satariel666Yes, but I will keep them as I sometimes use them when I don't use the liners.Marsman99Do you still have those straps?BTW, I also found the OEM elastic straps to be a nuisance too, and removed them. No need for them with the Ventura liners.
Well, too bad. I'm looking for a set but they seem to be back-ordered!
If any one wants a brand new OEM liner for the top case, mine is for sale. Just let me know.

Now that I picked up a set of oem 1200 side cases, I'd love to know the answer to this. Anybody?
Ok, I broke down and bought a set of case liners from Bestem USA that are supposed to be for VFR800 (it's even embroidered on them). I can now definitely say these do NOT fit the 1200 factory cases! These are made for 34 liter cases, not 29 liter. I'll be sending them back, so I guess that answers that.
