Neutral Light On All The Time

So I recently corrected a clutch job on my 91 using EBC plates and springs.  My clutch wasn't disengaging because I had one of the plates oriented incorrectly. Thread here: http://www.vfrdiscus...-clutch-change/

But now my neutral light stays illuminated whether she's in gear or out gear.  Clutch in/clutch out, the light is always on.  She will even start in gear.  It seems like this is either the neutral diode or the switch.  Can someone help me eliminate one or the other.  I saw the light on about 7 minutes into my ride this morning.  I fixed the clutch issue last night.

New info:  when the clutch switch leads are disconnected the light is still on.  When the neutral switch is disconnected, no change.

The clutch and clutch switch should have no affect on the neutral light. It sounds like the wire going to the neutral switch is shorted.......maybe pinched.

Winner winner, chicken dinner.  I pinched the signal wire creating a short. I freed the wire.  I'm at work, so the best I can do it wrap it with electrical tape until I get home and get some shrink wrap.

Thanks for the help.
