Nice. BB was the man. I think he had a good full life. I guess we can expect a TV movie soon showing bad shit I dont need to know.

RIP BB. One of the greats. I never met him but a friend of mine used to book him and said he was the nicest man he ever met. 

Both  "Kings" are gone .

Saw him 2 X.  A wonderful man and great entertainer.  He was the only 'King', if you're my age.  Any subsequent kings are porch-climbers. 

Porch-Climbers, are from the same era as Mr. King and myself.  It describes those that get into various venues for free; As in over the railing.  I've been listening to him for the last few days. Thanx 2Fast.  Good fortune,  R3~ 

I think the king deserves a bit better of a job than a guitar bolted on the side and a tank airbrush job.

Both had several things in common: they were originally from Mississippi, grew up in poverty, and made a name for themselves in Memphis.

I saw him quite a few times. The second time I saw him (at the Apollo) we were talking a few minutes before the show and I asked him if I could have the pick he'd be using that night. I told him jokingly that I'd be watching him to make sure he put it in his pocket and gave that exact one. He almost busted a gut laughing and gladly obliged. To this day I still have it. The day you see it on eBay is the day hell freezes over.
