Engine Temperature

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if the generator housing gets too hot to touch when the engine is up to temperature? My temp gauge isn't working at the moment so I don't know if its running hot.

I think the stator is running in an oil bath so if the engine has reached normal operating temp it probably would be very warm. 175-220 degrees F.

I feel so much more heat coming from the right side of the bike (exhaust, regulator, more exhaust) that I've never thought to check the outside temp on the stator cover...
