Well i just got home a few hours ago and i'm exhausted, but had a great time at this years TexasMac.
Great bunch of folks and amazing good weather considering that they were forecasting a washout. I think the only rain I was ever in was that last 10 min of HS and mine trip over to the event Thursday afternoon. A few wet roads here and there, but always seemed to just just before of just after a small shower.
I enjoyed riding both days with Kimball, Donna and a few others on some excellent roads and every evening was full of lots of stories, beverages and fun.
Thanks to all who attended and helped with the event, especially Warwomen(Andrea). :cheerleader:
I get some of my pics up later. Feel free to post yours up here.
It is Mark and his wife. Ride with them Friday and did everything I could just to keep them in sight. Great folks. But it's VFRD, everyone is great folks. Can't wait till next year.
As always, it was a great time. I enjoyed 3 days of great riding with a great group of people. My appreciation goes out to the individuals who spent the time organizing the event.
Made it back to St Louis, 12 hrs door to door from Franklin to Eureka... ~625 miles, I got rained on in 5 out of 6 states I rode through.
Thank you for the Carver coat!!! It fits my freakishly proportioned torso perfectly and I would have froze without it... thumb is healing up fine, let's me know it's there with every heartbeat
Thanks again to all of the fine folks who helped me out of the gulley!
While I understand that it is highly convenient to place your photo's of the event on Facebook, please refrain from posting pictures of my 'twin sister' there. If you see any pictures of her, please ask the poster to remove them. Facebook is a very public place. Not that the pictures were of any thing highly scandalous, but some things at TMAC should stay at TMAC.
Thanks for all the photos and reports. I'm enjoying them tremendously. Really sorry I took myself out so early. A thought about the Green Jersey crossed my mind and my ears started burning. Hope there was no Green Jeryey awarded this year. Keep the info coming.
