Accessories Fitted - Part 1

i thought you may be interested in some of the accessories I have fitted so far in case you were considering buying the same thing:

Akrapovic, not the genuine Honda one but from another source (cheaper !)   Fits easily, sounds lovely!  Removing the baffle was straight forward and well worth it.

GIVI rack, looks better than a expected, certainly much cheaper than the Honda rack and fits all Monokey top cases.  Sits a little far back but it does not upset handling etc.  Tip - protect body work when fitting and re tighten bolts after a few miles and use thread lock.  My bolts did work a little lose.

Fenda Extenda - well worth it - stops all the muck going into the radiator.  Just don't try and use the version that 'sticks' it does not stick, i had to use rivets in the end, the shape of the front guard does not allow enough surface area for it to stick to.

Bar risers - added after i rode through Olde London Town one day, standard bars are OK on the open road but in town can cause wrist ache, Honda risers fit easily and look the part, Although they only move the bars a marginally bit higher it does make a difference.  No impact on the wind noise etc,

I also have a Bags connection tank bag from a previous bike so fitted the tank ring to secure the bag, looks OK,these are really good tank bags - SW Motech.  Mine is the old version the newer tank rings are slimmer and do look better.

Scottoiler - Thanks to someone on the forum sharing the fitting instructions it was a reasonably easy job, seems to work OK although I am getting a bit of oil on the center stand - perhaps too much flow

Finally - Honda hugger, small, expensive and reasonably effective, so worth it - i did not like the other after market huggers, seems to work OK.

Next purchases?  Black screen, new levers - perhaps Titax or ASV if I can get some to fit, new tires, gel seat, if I can find one. Any other suggestions?  i will update with pictures once I have fitted them in part 2

Looks Tidy.    Glad you managed to fit Scottoiler ok.  

Why the Gel seat?  I find the vfr seat to be one of the most comfortable out.

As for the risers does it make any difference  where the wind hits you.  Reason is my autocom sometimes keeps activating at xxmph cruising speed and I was if the more upright bars would make any difference? 

Regarding Gel Seat, I just wanted something that looks a bit better than stock, I can only find this so far, & I am not convinced about suede as I like to move about a bit on the seat.

The risers don't seem to made any difference in the wind blast, the screen is low anyway.  May be different if I fit a new screen

I wouldn't buy the Puig touring screen with the moveable deflector.  Makes for a really noisy turbulent ride and it flexes like mad.

Bad choice that buy was for me.
