In its stock form, the 8th has nice ergos, but for me I think I need pegs a little further down or back to allow for me to extend my legs/knees a bit for longer rides/touring.
Has anyone installed adjustable pegs on their 8th gen or know of a way to install fixed pegs differently than stock without impacting the frame integrity?

Funny you should ask.
On my CBR1000RR I had fitted Buell footpegs to give slightly more leg room.
They are stepped a bit so they are about an inch lower than stock. the fitment is almost identical except IIRC you need to file a bit off the width (about .5mm) to make it fit the Honda bracket and you need to sleeve the bolt hole with a piece of 10mm aluminum tube to fit the 8mm Honda pin.
I was just looking at them today and they do fit the gen 8, they also fit the gen 6 so I think most Hondas are the same.
They are slightly different on the gen 4, but that has more legroom anyway
The only downside is that I found that I tended to catch my foot on the step close to the bike (no big deal) and that its easy to scrape your toes.

On my 6th gen, I had the MRA Adjustable footpegs that could be rotated to a position that was comfortable. There are tons of chinese knockoffs on ebay now. The bad thing about those however is that they move your feet out from the shifter and prake pedal.
On my 7th gen I went with these Buell pegs and dogman is right. You need to grind off a little of the thickness and make a bushing for the pin hole. They are excellent footpegs though! More legroom but no loss of clearance since the feelers point out to the sides more.
Why not put the seat up to its highest point?
Then you increase the forward lean. Some people don't want to do that.
