Know How To Reset This Alternate Honda Plastic Rivet Clip?
Picture would help but usually the screw type require you to insert them unscrewed and then screw them......if you know what I mean.
pics of the clip?

That's a Honda factory clip. To reset, spread the tabs that your fingers are holding slightly and push the center up until the "T" protrudes out of the top. That allows the tabs to come close enough together to go through the opening. Once inserted, push the "T" until it's once again flush with the top to secure it. To release, press the center as in your 2nd photo and remove.

Great, thanks. I thought it was a replacement non-original since others are push-in-the-middle type. (...Is there a guide here somewhere for which allen bolts go in which positions...? :-/ )
This may help.

Thanks.
Think the owner's manual has a diagram showing which bolts go where. It's in the section about removing the fairings. Lists them as A,B and C types, but that's easy to figure out from the number of each.
Yes, it does, but I'm not clear as to which bolt lengths go with the A, B, and C types. The allen bolts I removed are two different lengths, and the type that is different under the head... I'm a stupe for not labeling or taking photos...
Think the long ones go in the low positions on the front edge, the short ones go in the top edge near the tank and the ones with shoulders are for the sides. The front diffuser might take four short ones?
Sorry I'm not more exact, sold my 6th gen last fall.
Yeah, it's not clear there. Think I had to sort them by type, count them, then count the ones in the picture to figure it out.

Thanks, I think I figured it out. Also found it's missing one of the plastic clips, but it's not in a critical place. I used short bolts for the black V-section, and longer ones on the upper portions, because it seems they have more layers to grab up there.
Back on the VFR! :-)
