with all the cool SF projects on 3rd and 4th gen bikes, maybe we could do a weight list of stock parts. Where can the weight be trimmed the most ?

Ugh is this a 3rd/4th gen only thread? I have got my 6th gen down to 460 pounds ready to ride with a gallon in the tank. That may not be too impressive for you fourth gen guys.lol

Stock 4th gen on a cheap scale;
Cush drive = 7lb 10oz
Axle = 7lbs
Rear Rotor = 3lbs
Muffler = 12lbs 7oz
Headlight = 4lbs 11oz
Subframe = 10lbs 3oz
Instrument cluster = 5lbs 3oz
Front wheel & Rotors = 16lbs 2oz
